I don't know who may know this, but Bambi, my wolf hybrid, died the Saturday before Christmas.  I didn't post it because I didn't want to bring anyone down for the holidays...  She was 16 years old.  She saved my life when Jack, my wolf, terrorized me in 2002;  he would've killed me had she not been there, fussing at him to stop and leave me alone.   She was my sweet, big baby - which is why I named her Bambi.   Although I miss Jack and hate that he died, I am thankful for the 5 years I had being able to pet and play with Bambi since his passing.  (Jack became jealous/possessive and wouldn't let me touch her for more than a few seconds at a time, through the fence, once we moved them out to where I live now.  He was fine before the move - just not letting me leave when I was done playing with them both...  It became a problem, cos he was a large wolf. lol)

The reason I'm here this morning is because it's 15 degrees outside, feeling like 8 according to the Weather Channel, and I brought Sabrina here to the office so she would be warm.  Dad has an inside dog now, Pepper, and Sabrina has a history of not liking other dogs, so this was the only way to get her inside at the moment.  With the weather forecast for the week the way it is, I may be here every night this week...  It was so cold that the locking mechanism on the door didn't want to open - neither did the padlock we keep on the outside of the fencing.  I had decided to get her here before it got down so low, but will get an earlier start tonight, cos even the 20's was too low for me. lol

<BIG HUG>

Thank you, sweetie.  It's okay...   I really didn't want to bum you out...

I was going to write it on the "best and worst of 2007" thread, but couldn't get through my post...  Having both Mulan and Bambi die within a few months of each other was hard...  and part of why I haven't been here much.  (Stress can make my bipolar and fibro worse...)

Sabrina will be 16 this year...  She's getting to be an old girl, complete with graying muzzle... Such a sweetheart, too.   I'm trying to enjoy the time I have with her, you know?   As for Bambi, I'm sure that Jack was there to meet her, and they're running through the woods and fields, just like they did when they got out, so long ago...  <ok, that made me tear up... but I'm ok. lol>
