You said politics was not the only reason, or main reason for her departure.  Which means that politics was ONE of the reasons.  BULLSHIT.

 

And where do you get off speaking for her?  I don't believe she said anywhere in that email, 'Tree please share this with the board.'

 

She didn't even want me speaking for her or defending her against the insults and assumptions she knew would result of her leaving.

With all due respect Godiva, Tree was simply answering Smelly's question, and insinuation it had everything to do with politics.

Speak, what Tree did was confirm to Smelly with her snide ass remark, that yes politics was one of the reasons for her departure.

This is seriously the last time I want to have to say this, and since people around here seem to hang on to drama, I have no doubt this thread will be read, therefore everyone will hopefully see this.

 

 

ALL managers must weigh in on every decision and I am often in the minority. When I saw the application late last night, I sent an email to every manager, giving them my 'vote' and asking them to please discuss it. I also mentioned that since most people are here way before I'm even out of bed in the morning, I assumed the issue would be resolved. I saw nothing in pending nor did I see Deja's name on the member list, so I initially assumed that someone denied her entrance. I have since discovered that she was approved, posted a drive-by, then promptly left again. Some of the managers either chose not to involve themselves or they have yet to read the emails.

 

Please do not assume I make any decisions around here with regards to who's a member and who isn't a member.

Well fwiw, as a mere Loft citizen with no managerial powers, but who is always elected President and reigning Hottest Loftie, I don't think anyone, even Deja, should be permitted entrance again so she can post a hit-and-run message and then be gone.  That's like a terrorist act.  If Deja has some reason she wanted to not be a member any longer here, then I think it's reasonable she not be permitted to be a member here whenever it is convenient for her to be one.

the reason, godiva, that people are having a little fun with Deja's departure is because we've seen this before.  She gets worked over when people other than me don't agree with her, about politics--see 2004, and she flees.  She even one time, after leaving again, baited me to come into her dead Salon so that her band of genius friends could try to barrage me with a silly notion that a philosophy is dead. 

 

Anyway, the point is, Deja is just like the little boy who cried wolf.  Even if she has a legitimate reason to leave a message board, rofl, it's not like, OMG, Family Emergency!!!, I must rush to my computer and unJoin my groups, lmao.  An emergency would mean, to any sane person anyway, that you simply will be missing for a while and will not log on.  Under no such circumstance would you unJoin a place.  The only true reasons for unJoining a place are if you have gotten upset with it, or people there, or have a productivity problem in that you are posting too much there and have slacked off in your resposibilities--in other words you're addicted and you can't just not log on and not post and get your priorities straight, you must unJoin. 

 

And of course, this all is even more true since no one would have to unJoin due to emergency or personal matter, but then get prompted to come back and set the record straight because her friend emailed her about it, lol.  That'd be some emergency!

Well, she thought making a good-bye thread was lame and thought just unjoining would cause less drama, but I guess not.

 

I think no matter what she said was the reason, everyone would make up their own conclusions as to why she left.
