We haven't done a tree in a few years, today I decided to put it up since I've missed it. Pulled down the ladder, climbed into the dusty, dusty, loft space and found the tree and a box of decorations. (missed on box, but it's a small one and I'll live without it).
Cleared the space for the tree on the desk (huge tree dontcha' know ), put on the lights, pulled out all the ornaments and hung them, then realized I can't find an extension cord anywhere in the house

I know hubby has heavy duty cords in his truck, might even know where there's a lightweight one, but in the meantime I don't get to enjoy the lights and sparkle of a lit tree.  Oh well, guess I'll survive this too...

Oh man! I'd use the heavy duty extension cord rather than go without though, lol. I LOVE lights on the tree - that's my favorite thing.

Jeez, I have about a dozen extension cords (most of 'em are falling apart, lol, but I just bought one). I'm always afraid I'll need one and not have an extra, when it's really those strip plugs I never have enough of, lol.

LOL, hubby found a lightweight one in the truck.... since he's feeling totally broke about buying gifts and since he didn't do anything towards setting up the tree he's saying "at least let me contribute that much!"

It was nice last night with the overhead lights down and the tree lights on, such a nice little tree. And at least I found the "good" box of ornaments, all the Santas, Angels, and Snowmen, along with my vintage Italian nativity set.

Absolutely refuse to believe that Christmas is a week from today....just ain't right somehow!
