my question is, why do they ever come back up here!

Well, that's what I wonder myself. Why not just stay in a temperate climate?

I'm guessing it has to do with food sources, I can't think of any other reason nature would design it this way.

Poor little dude - get him some bird seed, Conrad! The kind that doesn't freeze, lol.

Well, um, no, lol.

Hadn't even thought about ice on the feeder. Jeez....I wonder if they sell heated feeders? And if not, how I can manufacture them, lol...

My Dad has so many feeders up in the front yard. I loved watching the squirrels trying to get to them and failing half the time.  They are indeed little acrobats, greedy ones at that. lol.

Bosco loves chasing them too! The first thing she does when she goes out the back door is to check to see if there's any squirrels to bark at.    lol

I can't believe no squirrels this morning, we must've missed 'em (slept in late, lol). But it's a sunny day, so I totally expected Lucy to be chasing squirrels all morning, lol.

I still can't get over that little dude getting into your bird feeder - cracks me the F up.

Nice

A PERIOD OF FREEZING RAIN WILL START SHORTLY AFTER MIDNIGHT
TONIGHT AND LAST INTO THE MID-MORNING ON WEDNESDAY.

THE SURFACE TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN BELOW FREEZING ALL NIGHT...AS
THE PRECIPITATION TURNS TO RAIN...AND FREEZES AS IT HITS THE
COLDER SURFACES.

THE MOST HAZARDOUS TIME WILL BE WITHIN A FEW HOURS OF SUNRISE.
EXPECT UP TO A THIRD OF AN INCH OF ICE TO ACCUMULATE ON MOST
SURFACES.

AN ICE STORM WARNING MEANS A SIGNIFICANT...AND POSSIBLY
DAMAGING...AMOUNT OF FREEZING RAIN IS EXPECTED. ICE ACCUMULATIONS
WILL LIKELY LEAD TO SNAPPED TREE LIMBS AND POWER OUTAGES. IN
ADDITION...TRAVEL ON UNTREATED ROADS WILL BE DANGEROUS OR
IMPOSSIBLE.
