What an outrage.
Really, seriously, I don't want to like them anymore because of this. The Broncs have always been my number two team. They're young but good on offense, and have much youth on defense as well, which was the awful side of the ball for them as they've rifled through 3 D-Coors in the past 3 years, but he is one of the elite coaches in the NFL. Doesn't make sense. Now I pray that he doesn't go to Dallas. It'd be great for the Cowboys, but I hate Jerry Jones and would agonize when I had to see Jerry and his bad plastic surgery prowl the sidelines late in games like the total poser that he is. I just don't think, in the end, that would be great for Shanahan, even though he'd have wonderful success there.
And I'd not like him at the Jets either, given they're in my number one team's (Dolphins) division, plus, c'mon Bret Favre?
Anyway, claims are Jerry Jones is happy with Wade Phillips. Uh, that's an insulting lie. He may be happy insofar that Wade's a puppet and hasn't totally botched the team up yet, but they will not get any better and one day Jones will have to admit it and fire him, lol. So, a coach like Shanahan getting amazingly fired, shocking everyone, well, Jones has to be tempted like a 15 year old boy during his sister's slumber party.
Similarly, Jerry Jones wannabe, Dan Snyder, has to be feverishly re-evaluating his suport of Skins coach Zorn. We all know how triggerhappy and horny Snyder is--c'mon, Steve Spurrier, really?--and the only reason to think he wouldn't thump Zorn to get Shanahan is because it would be an obvious move he should make and so maybe he wouldn't out of gay pride or something.
I'll tell you what though, if I were a powerhouse billionaire alum like T Boone Pickens is at OSU, I'd lay down some serious caysh to woo and secure Mike Shanahan to be the coach of my Miami Hurricanes. I gotta tell you, I'm not happy with what I"m seeing from Shannon. I really will not be happy if he doesn't fire O-Cor Nix, b/c our offense is like an impotent piece of crap. And having so much youth playing so much on both sides of the ball is only an excuse for a little bit. That youth ought to get better over the course of the season, not worse. Now recruiting has been top class, which UM should always expect, but since we fell short on that mark under Coker, kudos to Shannon for reviving it. In terms of being a good gameday coach, or head coach, the jury is out and his 12-13 record, alongside logging the worst loss in Orange Bowl (meaning our home stadium, not the bowl game) history on our last home game for the Orange Bowl, plus our Emerald Bowl meltdown against Cal, where our offense had the ball with 2 minutes to go and a timeout and only managed to run about 5 plays, never spiking the ball, and not getting out of bounds when it was easy, and then calling that timeout after an incomplete pass where the clock stops anyway....i mean, that is bad coaching. No doubt about it. Plus all the shit he's given Robert Marve about being late to a class---it's just, Randy's focusing too much on being a hard ass disciplinarian to the point where he's doing it beyound reason. If instances like that pop up every now and then, and the team's still underperforming, he'll lose the team and at that time the job. I'm still hopeful he'll turn the ship around, but so far he's doing worse than Coker did when Lar got fired. And I'd love to have Shanahan at UM, though he's way too good for NCAA ball, but, ah, a girl can dream can't she?
