Colt Brennan looked pretty damn good throwing that ball around. |

He did, but that was against a lot of guys who are going to be told "coach needs to see you, bring your playbook" in the next few weeks. That 3/4 sidearm motion might be a little troubling for knockdowns, but he was accurate and moved deftly in the pocket (in his defense, some of the offensive lineman blocking for him will be bagging groceries in the near future as well). I think the 'Skins got a steal in the seventh round, as system or not, you can't throw for as many touchdowns in college as he did and not be pretty talented. He might be a career backup, but he'll stick around for awhile, he'll most likely supplant Todd Collins as the backup by midseason, as Collins no longer has the "I know Al Saunders 500 page playbook" card and his skillset, which was mediocre at his peak, is now in major decline. |

lol, that's a funny one and i haven't broken down his career potential yet, but I just noticed he played well in his first opportunity, and well enough to stand out. who knows which of the guys don't make their teams then go on to make other teams or to vanish from the league altogether, but Brennan has a strong chance, I think, to fight his way through the league whereas before I wrote him off completely as a slinger for a good team in a bad college conference |
