I just don't understand why he didn't just stay retired, or not retire at all. is it for all the drama and attention or what? Brett was the Packers, he shouldn't be playing for any other team, cept maybe the Bears lol can you imagine? |

Brett doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would want drama or attention......have you ever seen him in a gossip mag?....lol....he stated in the few interviews that he did that he felt forced and unwanted by the Packer camp......and after everything that went down it seems that is the way it went.....they wanted him to play at all........for anyone....that's not fair either |

from what I've read of him, he's a very down to earth type of guy. I didn't think that it was for drama or attention, I just didn't know what it was about is all. he's talked of retirement many times in the past though. |

Yeah, all the Packer fans around here are having a fit. There's been special news reports all week. They just had something again on TV about it and were groaning because he was wearing a Jets hat. It sure will be strange to see him playing for another team. |

I think he's just reached the age where about 2/3 of the way through the season, he starts to be hurting a lot. He won't be healing as fast as when he was younger and will have a lot more aches and pains. So at the end of the season, retirement sounds like a good idea. Then spring comes, and to him, for pretty much his whole life, that's meant putting on the pads and going to training. He's healed up over the off season, doesn't hurt any more and playing football sounds like fun again. |

no injury that he has had in the past 16 years has prevented him from playing a game........that MUST account for something........i hate to "claim" him...as a Packer.....i will stay true to him and will watch every game he's in......it wasn't him that made the Packers great.......it was HIM that made him what he is today.......he isn't your average sport star.......he loved the game and played it.......because he loved it and he loved who he played for.....honestly.......just because i live in wisconsin....i truley believe that he WANTED to play for us.......but he's not...fine.....i still wish him all the luck in the world......he deserves it....... |

In the end, it won't be that big of a deal.
It may seem strange that Favre will be in a Jets uniform, but fans will always remember him as a Packer.
I mean when I say Joe Montana, what image comes to mind?
People tend to forget he played for the Chiefs in his older years. |
