A lot of boring shite to deal with just to get a couple of answers here and there.

Watched it from the beginning.  No stopping now.

Smig - Locke may have blown up the submarine because he didn't want anyone to be able to rescue them.  Does he think if he leaves the island, he will lose the use of his legs again?

But......

Did he really blow it up or did he make it just LOOK like he did?

Think about it.  He was wet when he appeared on the pier.  Why would he have gone into the water to do it?  Could have just done it from the inside.  Maybe he moved it somewhere, swam back to the pier and it just appear to have blown up.  Locke very well might have something else in mind for the submarine.

Great point, Chicky (about the fake out) -- but you have to wonder "what" blew up then???

They did broach the subject of him not wanting to leave cuz he'd be afraid of losing use of his legs again....and that would be a logical reason for Locke to not want to leave the island.....but I dunno, that's too pat. I like your alternate idea though - very cool.

Then again, we really don't want a sub on the island, cuz we don't want them all rescued, do we? (Well, at this point, maybe, lol)

I also agree about having watched from the beginning - that's why I continued with all of last season despite how awful it really was. At least this season is better -- although it can't compare with the first season. Nothing can.

I think one of the problems with this show is that they have SO many characters and they try to do SO much (what with background/flashbacks and junk) that we lose sight of people by the time they get back around to them again, you know?

Well that's the thing that bugs me. Why not actually answer a few questions, I mean they keep creating new ones, which would be fine if they'd tie up some loose ends.

I said this somewhere else but I'm finding these episodes sort of choppy and pieced together (not necessarily this most recent one but a few in the last while), like they are piecing shit together and it seems messy. I think they should let us figure some shit out instead of creating more questions constantly. At this rate it feels like they'll wait til the final episode to answer every single question, all crammed into an hour. Don't you think it would be more insteresting if they let us find some stuff out, even slowly, instead of continuing to create more and more confusion/questions.

Yep - it does seem very disjointed, doesn't it? I wonder if that's deliberate (like they think they're being artsy or something, but just missing it) or if it's just poor storyboarding or somethin'.

I wish they would answer some "old" questions before they give us more, I agree.
