I almost missed this one. There was very little pre-release buzz about it. We finally caught a matinee based on a recommendation, and we loved it.
What a great cast. Narrated by Sir Ian McKellen, with Michelle Pfeiffer as a Witch, Claire Danes as a Fallen Star, Robert De Niro as a foppish Sea Captain, Mark Williams (Harry Potter's Arthur Weasley, hilarious as a goat-turned-man), and cameos by Ricky Gervais (creator and star of the UK's The Office) as a Trader and Peter O'Toole as the King.
All in a captivating fantasy tale written by Neil Gaiman, author of MirrorMask and the upcoming Beowulf screenplay.
Oh, and the lead is a hottie.
