Ok, yeah, not a new movie, this was from 2006 (but I'd never even heard of it before). Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Jack Black.
The 2 women exchange homes for the holidays to get away from their stupid men, lol.
I was surprised, it was a very cute (albeit long) movie. Usually love stories don't last over 2 hours, but this was almost like seeing 2 separate movies in one. Very well done, except the ending was a cop-out, there was no real "decision" made, but I guess these days you don't want to always show the women acquiesce to the distance thing and be the ones to give up their careers and move half-way around the world. Other than that though, I really really liked this movie - a lot more than I thought I would.
And now I think Jude Law is adorable as hell. I've never seen him in a role where I loved him, but now he's on my list, lol. He's almost perfect. :^P
Good movie though, definitely worth seeing. I can't believe I'd never heard of it. Probably came out during Christmas, and in Dec of 06 I was too busy to notice much of anything, lol.

This is one of those movies that I ball like a baby through most of. Just the sweetness of it and also how sad Iris is in the beginning gets to me because I've been there. Boy, have I! Just from the beginning, when the Arthur is looking at his wife's wedding portrait . . . I can't keep it together.
