Didn't see a thread for this although I know there's been one on the Gen'l Board. Finally saw it yesterday. I loved this movie. But, most of all (it wasn't over hyped) I loved Heath Ledger's performance. Especially from an actor's stand-point. His salivating so often from the scars on his lips. Brilliant. The movie was really good but Ledger's performance was brilliance. It reminded me of James Dean. Of Brando. Method actors taking chances and bringing unique, personal insight to their characters. Some don't know what it is to summon those demons within us and live with them. We all have them. That's why performances like this are so resonate so because we can all relate. |

Johnny, do you think summoning up those demons in himself contributed in any way to his death? It makes me wonder. (still haven't seen it. I was told it was disturbing, and I just don't do well with disturbing movies, take them too much to heart) |
