well, i'm never prepared for the urine sample that they want at each visit. my bladder is always nearly empty. this last time, i was having some trouble ....tried tickling myself and then..i had to defecate. gross! i hate that at the doctor's office...and i had no wipes. so then i did pee a little...but while waiting for more...i drop the cup of urine into the toilet. yeah. yeah. thank goodness i haven't had too many stomach issues during my pregnancy. i stayed in for five more minutes so that i could convince my body to produce a tiny bit of urine. sorry that this is probably too much information, but everytime something like this happens...i always think that it would be funny if i were watching it on tv, but alas...no one is around to witness this, so it literally goes to waste. |

and....i actually had this happen worse once. we were at an event and i had my ticket in my hand and i had to use the port-a-potty because that was all that there was....well, you can probably guess the rest, but i had to have that ticket! (thankfully they had a soap dispenser in the port-a-potty. ) |

lol been there... dropped the cup in the toilet! I tried to remember to drink lots of water the morning of a doctors visit. Trust me, as times goes on, giving urine samples will NOT be a problem!! |

Haha I have this weird issue about peeing in public places. Well, using the bathroom in general. I will never ever #2 outside my house haha. So when I went to my doctors office to make sure I was pregnant, I could NOT pee! I had been drinking water, and I thought I could.. but because I kept thinking about Nick and the nurse waiting right outside the door, I couldn't! They finally told me not to worry about it. The next visit, I made sure and drank a TON of water right before, and was literally dancing waiting. Then I went into the office and they told me I could pee whenever I wanted. Thank goodness I didn't because then they sent me to labs where I had to pee in the cup again haha. |

That's it... drink tons of water so that you're wanting to pee as soon as you get there. Then tell the nurse or receptionist that you're going to need to go, so you need a cup in case the doc wants to have a sample... If the doc doesn't, then they can toss it. Has worked for me a lot. |
