it's next friday. the 19th

 

i am having another one on tuesday though (16th) this is one they just scheduled me for this morning. my blood test came back as positive for downs syndrome.

they said they get a lot of false positives, but this special ultrasound will let me know for sure.

My doctor suggested when i was pregnant with Josh to not even have those blood tests done because of the high rate of false positive.

Oh Hic     After everything else already going on in your family.   It could be a false positive, like Dede said.    I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

your baby will be fine!.....i just watched a show as a matter of fact and her test came back positive and her doc explained to her how many false positives they get.....she had an amnio after that and of course baby was fine........

Yup.. false positives are common.  But no matter what happens, that little baby will just perfect. 

I'm sure everything will be ok Hic. I agree with the false positives. I've heard it happens fairly regularly.

well the dr. didn't see any indicators but said the only way to know for sure was an amnio. i'm not going to get one though. eventhough the ultrasound is only accurate at predicting downs about 70% of the time it's still way more accurate than that stupid blood test.

i do have to go back in a month so they can take another look at the heart. the baby kept covering it so they couldn't get a clear shot. they just want to make sure that it's okay as well.
