Wish I had a cure for you - I lived on Malox! Never mattered what I ate or didn't eat - water even gave me heartburn! |

oi, I remember that. according to old wives tale, it means your baby will be born with hair. |

OMG... the heartburn was THE WORST! No matter what, I had heartburn. On a plus, though, I never once got morning sickness. |

Oh you poor thing. I didn't get it really bad until the last two months or so. It is the worst! I drank a ton of milk, and got Pepcid AC chewables. They worked like a charm! Logan was born with lots of hair and I had tons of heartburn! |

lol i think the frosty kept me from getting heartburn last night. i wasn't sure what i could take if it got worse other than tums. i know i have a list of safe med's at home somewhere i just need to dig it out. if it get's to be too bad i'll try the pepcid. |

this was me, too.
i had terrible heartburn, but never had nausea - except for the kind that came from horrible heartburn, but it felt rather different. - more like just an urge to barf because it was coming up my throat without a queasy feeling.
also, my son was born with lots of hair, too. |

also, at first water helped it, but then it stopped. it could be because i stopped drinking as much water, though. i'm not sure. i had been drinking at least 72 oz and then i stopped counting how much, but it wasn't nearly that much. i was always eating tums. |

Chew gum. The extra salvia it produces helps to douse the flames of heart burn. I don't have a clue if I spelled that right but spit just looked too unappealing in that sentence. lol. Back when I was pregnant they didn't want you to really use Tums or any over the counter medication to deal with heartburn, so I would take sips of milk, avoid acidy foods and chew gum. It was the worst when trying to sleep. |
