I didn't see another thread for this. Wasn't here yesterday so couldn't do it till now....anyway. And I can't seem to find a list of the songs they did. I never wrote them down, so I can't really remember. I just remember my impressions of them. Dilana - awesome - she's back, with a vengeance, and is still the best by far. She's so far above the rest of them she really shouldn't be wasting her time trying to get into a band of has beens and wanna bes, lol. I'm glad the flakes and losers have turned their backs on her, cuz they really don't deserve to have a real rock n' roller anyway. Lukas - sucked, as usual. And wth was that original song? He's the worst songwriter of the bunch (and that surprised me). He's SO bad, he really ought to be with the band, lol. Storm - loved her original song. Best song I've heard in a good 10 years now. She's way too good for them, too. Glad she's gone, she can do much better. Toby - well, at least he's improving somewhat. I like his energy, just wish his voice was better. Decent original tune, it was catchy and very commercial. Would fit right in with the extremely damaged world of rock n' roll music today. I think he has it in him to be the poseur he needs to be for this, lol. Who else? Oh, Magni - good choice for this band. He's so mild and commercial and milquetoast and middle of the road and non-controversial and soooo non rock n' roll, he's the perfect choice. Nice guy. Totally doesn't fit in with real rock, lol. |

Oh! And for the bottom three - I can't understand why Lukas wanted to reprise that horrible excuse for a song about his mother fucking with his head, or whatever that was supposed to be. I wish Storm had done her original tune again though. Nobody can do Pink Floyd and, like Zeppelin music, should never be attempted by a non-original. Her original was flawless, best thing I've heard in 10 years, and I wish she'd done that again. |

Last year, Marty Casey did Wish You Were Here. Holy shit. It totally gave me goosebumps and tears. It was incredible. For the love of God, I can't stand Lukas's voice. It's just horrible for me to listen to. I was just listening to Magni when it was on Tuesday, not watching, just listening. He has a great, great voice, in my opinion. For some reason, he's just not doing memorable performances or something. I dunno, I keep forgetting about him. But he is really good. I really liked Storm. She also seems so genuine in her enthusiasm for all the contestants. Dilana, for me, I could care less about how much the producers are trying to make people look bitchy... her performances haven't been the same. And I felt her voice wasn't up to par or something. |

Yeah, the way the producers are trying to present Dilana now, how can anyone not see how deliberate this is? Anyway, I was disappointed in her performances last week, but she was so stressed from all the bullshit, it's understandable. Hell, even professionals have a bad performance now and then. With the number of concerts I used to go to, I've seen my share of that, lol. But this week, I thought she was awesome as hell, and that's despite her injury. Hard to be in top condition when you're in pain. I agree that Magni has a nice voice. He's just not....rock n' roll. Too nice a guy. Doesn't work. I mean, in the psuedo-rock sense, yeah, he's ok. But that's like the other nice-guy bands that I don't view as real rockers. Not going to get into naming those though, lol. I love my friends and don't want to piss 'em off.  |
