Really no big deal, just a random post, commenting on how odd the weather continues to be. The week before and weekend of Memorial Day was cold and wet - totally the opposite of what it usually is. Mem Day is chronically super-hot (like uncomfortable hot), and then we cool a bit for June gloom (but not cold and wet). Summers are hot, but dry, yet July of 06 was so horribly humid I thought I was going to die (well, and my dog did!); last July not quite as humid, but still, more humidity than there used to be.
The vet said he's seeing a LOT of grass/pollen allergies in dogs lately, things are growing here that didn't used to. So far the people I know who have pollen allergies haven't been complaining about it, but I'm afraid it's going to be a bad season for that.
And has "due North" changed in the last 40-50 years?

Yes, in fact I guess it's standard procedure now for pilots to refigure "due north" before they land their planes, because it's changing that fast. |
