I read this too.  And I think they said they're not going to concentrate so much on the bad auditions (thank goodness); they'll show us more of the good auditions.  I think it finally got through their thick skulls that people are just getting sick of the meanness and sick of the audition process altogether.  I didn't think I could sit through 3 or 4 weeks of horrid singing and Simon being nasty to mentally ill young people.  I like the idea of bringing back the Wild Card.  Makes it a little more interesting.
