Ruben tour dates have been changed. JRecords is asking those that have tickets to check the brokers for new times and dates. Most dates have either been cancelled or rescheduled. Plus a few new one have been added. I don't have a complete list yet, as they are still coming it. Apparently there were some major conflicts with the original dates. I think some of that conflict was due to 1. His new video shoot 2. His appearance and possible performance on three awards shows in March 2. His opening act not being able to commit to the dates. |

'American Idol' champ Ruben Studdard shuffles spring tour plans March 05, 2004 10:09 AM - R&B singer Ruben Studdard has pushed back the opening of his inaugural headlining tour, resulting in several itinerary changes. The 2003 winner of Fox-TV's "American Idol" talent competition was scheduled to launch the tour on Wednesday (3/3) in San Diego, but the outing will instead begin on March 11 in Philadelphia. The reason for the changes was not announced; the new itinerary is shown below. Studdard is backing his debut album, "Soulful," with the run on the U.S. theater circuit. He is currently scheduled to wrap things up in New York City on April 13. Released in December, "Soulful" debuted at the top of The Billboard 200 album chart, and has sold more than 1 million copies in the U.S., according to industry sources. The set includes the hits "Sorry 2004" and "Flying Without Wings." Studdard--whom soul-singer Gladys Knight nicknamed the "Velvet Teddy Bear"--got his break during the second season of "American Idol," when he bested a pool of competitors that included Clay Aiken. According to his website, Studdard's experience as a performer dates back to when he began singing at his church at the age of three. "I got over stage fright early in life so I never got nervous doing the show, week after week," Studdard said in a statement. "Having a career in music is what I've always wanted to do so this is the fulfillment of my dreams!"

KEM Special Guests On A Soulful 13-City National Tour
With 'American Idol' Ruben Studdard
NEW YORK, March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Singer/songwriter/producer KEM joins "American Idol" Ruben Studdard on a 13-city national tour on Wednesday, March 24th in San Francisco. This marks KEM's first national tour after the critically acclaimed release of his gold debut album KEMISTRY.
Fans can expect to see KEM do a scintillating performance of the infectious sleeper hit "Love Calls" which has stayed in the top 10 at Urban AC formats for more than 32 consecutive weeks and "Matter of Time," a smooth jazz influenced track, which was the #1 Most Added song at Urban AC Radio.
KEMISTRY sounds like a real life Cindafella soundtrack. Initially released independently, it sold more than 10,000. The single "Love Calls" became a local breakout hit, attracting the attention of Motown Records, which signed KEM and re-released the album. Without a video and the support of hip-hop driven radio stations, KEMISTRY, has defied the odds and remains a consistent seller since its release.
KEM wrote, produced and played keyboards on KEMISTRY, which is a 10-track CD that boasts live musicians and focuses on love, loss and redemption.
