Linda Ronstadt was escorted off stage at a concert in Vegas for spewing her political crap and encouraging the audience to see Michael Moore's movie. They didn't even let her back into her suite. The concert-goers were appalled....they tore down concert posters and booed in collective unison. I'm sick of these celebs! Congrats to the Alladin hotel and casino..........YAY!!! |

She's passionate about something, and good for her for expressing it. I'm sure you support Toby Keith, right? I don't support Linda because of her stance, I support Linda because I love her and her music, and always have. This doesn't change a thing. If you are a fan of someone, something like that should not change it. And Linda Ronstadt has never built a career on what's popular. She's had great success over time, more than most artists of our lifetime. This will not hurt her. Her fans will stick by her no matter what. |

These people paid good money to see her perform, not to listen to her Michael Moore salespitch. Oh and the comment was during the encore, after she was done with her main set, which was an hour well into her performance. So the audience got their moneys worth. No artist has to do an encore, and I've seen some that don't. |

According to the IMDB today, Linda Ronstadt may be back at the Aladdin much sooner than expected...
Ronstadt To Return to Las Vegas
Linda Ronstadt is set for a speedy return to the casino she was reportedly ejected from last weekend - for a performance with filmmaker Michael Moore. Ronstadt's run of shows at Las Vegas, Nevada's Aladdin complex was brought to a halt on Saturday after she dedicated a song to Moore, the controversial director of Fahrenheit 9/11 - upsetting fans who disagreed with the filmmaker's movie attack on American President George W Bush. Many fans walked out of the show and some ripped down posters in protest. Ronstadt was later escorted from the premises. But, thanks to negotiations between the Recording Artists Coalition and the prospective new owners of the Aladdin Theater, Ronstadt is slated to return to the venue later this year. And she'll be taking Moore with her. In a letter to the Aladdin management, Moore stated his disappointment in the decision to axe Ronstadt's shows and offered to duet with her on "America The Beautiful" if the singer was invited back. He plans to make good on his promise. Planet Hollywood boss Robert Earl, the prospective new owner of the venue, says, "We hope to be approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission to become the new owners of the Aladdin Resort in Las Vegas as early as September 1, 2004. Upon the assumption of ownership, and with a new management team in place, we would like to offer the use of the Theatre of Performing Arts to Linda Ronstadt for a second concert and further to take Michael Moore up on his offer to join her on stage to introduce her and sing a song." |

LMAO! I love it! But, thanks to negotiations between the Recording Artists Coalition and the prospective new owners of the Aladdin Theater, Ronstadt is slated to return to the venue later this year. Out with the old, in with the new! Let's hope that extends to the presidency of the United States, as well! |

Yeah, I am aware she's not skinny. I saw her a few years ago. She's an amazing singer, I don't care how big or small she is. It doesn't and shouldn't matter. |

That was pure magic. Amazing amazing amazing singer. All these years later, her voice is as strong and clear as it was 30 years ago. And she looked great! She gave the crowd equal time to cheer or boo. I love Linda, what a talent! |

Oh yeah, in Vegas. She's been invited back already though--new management. The reason many feel she was escorted out was that the old owner didn't like comments she made about the hotel in a magazine earlier. Who knows. The people throwing things and ripping down posters (could be considered vandals) were not escorted out, however. |

wow, sounds kinda like the 60's, but with the participants switched. now, if only the nutty professors would stop harrassing republican and independent students, that would really be great. |
