I have to weigh in here.  I don't hate any group of people as a whole, but in the years spent listening to my dad talking about his experiences in World War 2, he said over and over again how rude the French people that he encountered were to him and how ungrateful they were.  Any place and anybody who treated my father that way can SUCK IT!
