OKay I have the same ole dilemna...  too much to write... too lazy to do it all at once.   So....

I am going to write a little bit a day until I'm done.

For those of you who don't know, I went to Florida.  We went to Seaworld, to Universal, to Islands of Adventure, and to St. Augustine.

Trip down... fine no big drama.  Just really really long.  On Monday we just hung around the hotel and rested.  It was a reasonably nice hotel.

On Tuesday we went to Seaworld.  There were a LOT of people there.   It was extremely hot.  It did rain so that cooled it off a bit.  And it was quite a storm too.  Heavy rain and lightning.  We were standing in line waiting to get into Shamu stadium so we were under a cement ceiling and pretty safe.  By the time they let us in the storm had passed.  Our kids LOVED the Shamu show.  It was good.  My son is still chanting Shamu... Shamu... LOL  We got pretty close to so we got soaked and we were within a few inches of Shamu.  That was cool.  I made my husband and daughter come watch the Elmo show with me and son.  My daughter was not happy, she kept talking about how lame it all was... hahahahahaha... We saw lots of sea creatures and rode a few rides.  My son didn't want to get on any but once he was on the rides he LOVED them.  I am not sure if he was afraid to ride or if he just hated waiting in line.  And I made sure we didn't ride anything that was too scary.

On Wednesday we went to Universal.  We made reservations at Emeril's for that evening.  We rode lots of rides.  My son was the same... didn't want to get on but once he rode he loved them.  And I made sure we rode reasonably tame things.  Most of the rides at Universal are "riding the movies"  You don't move around a whole lot, the movies make up your sense of movement.  Those are the best kind of rides for my son.  We met a few characters which my son loved.  They met Shrek and Donkey.  The guy who did Donkey was AWESOME.  He sounded just like Donkey and he acted like you would expect Donkey to act.  He was really great.  My son also met Spongebob.  He loved that.

On Thursday we went to Islands of Adventure.  That's when we all kind of got sick of amusement parks.  We all rode the Spiderman ride together and it was a bit more exciting than I expected it to be and my son was done.  No more rides.  So hubby and I took turns taking my daughter to different rides and riding with her and the other one watched my son.  Luckily there were lots of play spots for my son to play while we waited for the other parent.

Since my son wasn't riding we could ride scarier rides.  That was fun.  I loooove scary rides.  Well roller coasters and things like that.  I don't like rides that just drop.  You know that's the whole ride... you go up high and then drop end of ride.  I hate those.  But drops on roller coasters or loops or whatever... the faster the better.  I love them.  My husband and daughter went to ride the pterandon ride in Jurrasic Park and I took my son to the Camp Jurrasic playground.  It was awesome by the way.  It had caves and bridges and places to shoot water at each other and echoing caves and lookout places.  It had motion sensors that shook the vegetation and growled at you when you went by.  It had dinosaur bones to climb on.  It was really neat.  My son absolutely loved it.  I did not enjoy it as much because I spent the whole time chasing him... LOL.  The pteranodon ride was having all sorts of trouble and it took my huband and daughter 2 and half hours to ride.  I was ready to leave Jurassic Park by then... LOL  After Jurassic park we went to Suessville and then went home.  Oh yeah I forgot, my son met Spiderman which is his alltime favorite superhero.  He was glowing the whole time he was with Spiderman.  The guy that was doing Spiderman did great too.  He was convincing and he spent time with each child talking to them a bit before they got their picture made.  My son also got his picture taken with Woody Woodpecker and the female woodpecker, whoever she is.  He had his picture made with curious George and the man in the yellow hat.  My daughter had her picture made with Betty Boop.  The Suessville playground was pretty cool too.  It looked like it was lifted right out of Dr. Suess books.

Okay that's enough for today... LOL  I wrote more than I thought I would.
