My day did get better thanks.  The strategy meeting went well I think and we are having a family meeting tonight to go over what hubby and I decided.

Ariel, I never got fall break either.  It's something that they started doing when the kids started school.  They get shorter summers but they get a fall, winter, and spring break.  And various days off thru the year.

Sorry I haven't been around this week.  Hubby took a couple days off and he's kept me busy trying to organize and paint stuff.  He's probably going to take Friday off as well.  *sigh*

He drives me crazy when he is home.  I don't know what I will do when he retires.  I guess I'll have to do volunteer work or something to get out of the house.  LOL

Hahaha! I know exactly what you mean Rid, whenever my hubby is home for an extened period of time he starts rearranging things around the house, which is ok as long as he stays out of my kitchen, it drives me up the wall.

Today had a rough start.  My son must not have got enough sleep.  He had three meltdowns before we got to school.

He had calmed down by the time he got to his classroom so I am glad about that.  Now I can relax a bit and hope he has a good day.

Hubby is going to take off all next week.  I so dread it.  He will have all kinds of projects and plans that will drive me crazy.

We are going to have Thanksgiving at my house.  The whole fam is invited.  Hubby's parents, my Mom, my Dad and my brothers.  Should be interesting.

I guess you've already had Thanksgiving, huh Dis?  I don't remember when it is but I was thinking Canada's Thanksgiving came before the US Thanksgiving.

Now I just have to decide what we will have...

I hope you are all having a great day.

It was a busy week.  We had a good time.  I had computer withdrawals a bit but I survived.

I wish the little brats at my son's school would quit stealing his things.  He refused to do his work this morning and I couldn't figure out what was up.  Then I looked in his desk and realized that his glue and scissors were gone.

And none of the kids would share with him.  I talked to the teacher and she gave him her own stuff.  But if I hadn't been there he probably would have just got in trouble for not doing his work.  I try to remind him to talk to the teacher about these things but I think he's afraid.  And I don't think she's very sympathetic.  Some of the other kids were missing their glue and scissors and she just said share with the kids at your table.

I am so glad I am not in school anymore.

Anyway I have a busy day.  I hope it's a good one for you all!

Its good to see you taking an active interest in your son's education, Rid. Unfortunately its a widespread problem that's been going on for years. There are just some teachers who don't seem to care very much about some of the issues kids have at school. My son, who is out of school now, had many teachers during his school years that simply did not, or could not, show any support or encouragement to their students.

Hope you have a good one!

Bro

It does make me wonder why some teachers become teachers in the first place. I guess that is why we all remember the good teachers,...and the bad. When my son was in grade one he had trouble with one particular boy who would pinch him every chance he could get. My son wouldn't tell the teacher, he just hated to be the 'center of attention'. I finally talked to the teacher about it and found out this boy was pinching a few other kids in the classroom as well. None of them told the teacher about it either, apparently one of the other parents brought it to the teacher's attention also. They all must have been afraid of this boy.I guess this teacher needed more than one parent to complain about this boy? I'm not too sure but she finally put a stop to it when I told her. It really is amazing what some kids have to endure during there school years. Unfortunately some things never change.
It is chilly and sunny today. Not much to report from my end. I have to go for more blood work this afternoon. Hope everyone is having a nice Wednesday.

It's a wet wet Wednesday here in the "sunny"(snort) south.  And it's a cold rain.  I got good and soaked taking my son into school.   I am just now warming up.

What's on tap for you all this Wednesday?  Me?  I'm going to a bookstore with my Mother today.  Then we will have lunch and hang out for a while.  Then it will be about time to go get my son for his therapy appointment.

I hope you are all having a happy Hump Day!!!!

Hey it's getting closer, a week from today is Christmas Eve! Do you have all your shopping done? I don't. So now you all know what I'll be doing this week. How's your Wednesday going?
