I was asked by the local County parks and rec office to start taking team and individual photos of all the youth sports here.
T-Ball,  Coach Pitched,  little league,  swimming,  even the cheerleaders.
Thats about 14 teams with a minimum of 15 players each.       They have been bragging to all the coaches about the photos I have taken for the paper and then printed out for them.

So I might even get to do the teams for about 90 miles in any direction.    COOL!
Next year I am planning on doing the Senior portraits.
And the year after that I will try to get the local school contract.

This is completely on my own,  no newspaper to back me up or own the copyrights to any of my photos for this venture.

Yay!!!

Thanks Rid and Dis,   The first year is always going to be less expensive for the customer.
Building a business from the ground up takes a little time.      It did the first time I did it.
What is funny to me is,  I had envisioned myself on this same timeline.      But I had no idea how to get the ball rolling.
I didn't have to,  the head of the parks and rec office asked me if I could do it.      Everything else is just falling into place.
Now even my boss at the paper is asking me to set up a way to do it where I could get the photos printed up using my logo for all the photos he takes for people as well.     And he is going to get me a dvd burner so I can make dvd copys of the photos from my stuff and his newspaper.
And it would be under my logo as well.
I have asked if I could set up a small portrait studio in the newspapers wherehouse.      No problems there,  I think....
Just really,  really dusty.     I'm going to need sheet plastic by the acre.  Lol!
