A beam of light finds my eye
A second of hope
But the light is lost along its way
And God is good

A passing glimpse of my face in a mirror
I turn expectantly
But the image is blurred to unrecognizability
And God is caring

A familiar voice greets my ear
I turn to say hello
But only shadows look back at me
And God is forgiving

Footsteps outside my door, voices laughing
I listen for a knock
But the sound passes by and fades
And God is loving

Days and weeks and months go by
I reach out for someone
But time rolls on with no change
And God is merciful

Note: I know this is sad. I know people don't want to hear sad stories. I know nobody wants to know how difficult being blind can be. I know.

..but what is - is.

-Bro

I don't think there is anything wrong with writing what you feel, even if it is sad.I think this poem is very insightful Bro.It gives us a tiny glimpse of how strong your faith is, and the inner strength you have with the challenges you meet everyday.
