Imagine your in line by yourself at the latest blockbuster movie that you have been waiting all summer for.

The ticket window is swamped and the line is just not moving.    You ask what the trouble is and the lady behind the glass says that she ran out of change and can't sell anymore tickets until she gets some.     You wait patiently for 15 minutes for her to get some change,  and nothing happens except the line is starting to get ugly.      So you volunteer to go to the snackbar and break a fifty dollar bill on something that you weren't planning on buying just so you can sell her the change.

You walk inside and you are confronted by an outraged manager who damands to know why you are inside without a ticket!!!       You calmly explain and she starts talking about calling the cops on you for trespassing.

You again tell her that you are only trying to help by BUYING something from the snackbar,  not trying to sneak in and she isn't listening to you.      Instead she is ranting and raving about how she should kick you out of the theater.

What do you do??

(By the way,  this actually happened to me when I went to see the Clint Eastwood movie  "Unforgiven"  !! )

Wow, its to bad you had to go through that, Luke.....

I know I would not be going to that place again, I'd be checking out other movie places, but if there wasn't another theatre, I probably would;

I probably would try to escort her to the ticket booth and ask the ticket agent to explain to the manager what happened, if she wouldn't come with me to the ticket agent, I probably would walk over to the ticket booth (MAJORLY PISSED) and ask for my money back, go home and (you know it's going to be on DVD soon),  write a note to the owner of the theatre (or call), and proceed to write another letter to the company in charge with making that movie, you never know what might happen.....

But I know I wouldn't be there again.....

I agree, I doubt I'd ever go back to that theatre again!

I used to work for that same theater chain,  she was the manager then also.
Talking to other employees from her little empire and the verdict is...

She was universally despised as being the biggest bitch in the town!

She was there for another couple of years as the attendance slowly went into the toilet.
Then the theater was sold and was remodeled into an arts theater.     Stage AND screen.      Dressing rooms,  the whole bit.

Now it is thriving again.      Without her!

Well...  If all else fails, there's always the Press!!!!  You can almost see the headlines for a story like that!!!  "Generous Patron Ousted While Doing Box Office A Favor"!!!  You know...   Bad press!!!  Nobody wants that!!!

In Windsor our tickets and snack bar are in the same area before you hand over the movie ticket....  So a problem like that might be unlikely to happen....

Its nice to hear that in the longrun, that woman didn't get to keep her job afterall

I would try to remain calm and get thru to the lady.  If that didn't work I would leave.  No movie is worth getting treated like that for.  And I wouldn't go back.
