Well I missed this week so I'll try to catch up now.

If you have Children:  How did you come up with names for your children?

If you don't have Children: (if you have pets How did you come up with names for your pets?)  (If you don't have Children or pets what would you name your children or pets if you had them?)

My husband chose the first name for my daughter: Jessica

He said it was the closest name to my name(Jennifer) that he liked.

I chose her middle name, it was my middle name and also my mothers middle name and also my Great Aunt's middle name.  I think it's cool that we all have the same middle name.

I chose my son's first name: William after my cousin Bill.  My husband chose his middle name: It's his first name.

In my husbands family the son instead of being a Blah Blah Jr., they give the son the father's first name as their middle name.  They've done that for at least four generations.  I thought it was interesting.

Your son's name is William Blah Blah????

(man, is HE gonna have a tough childhood!)

My ex-wife chose our son's name.  I didn't want him to be a Jr (I believe in individuality), but I conceded to him having the same initials as me 'J.A.H.'.
