It really would depend on how they were driving me crazy. If they were driving me crazy because they were just a quirky person but not a bad or rude person I would do my best to deal with it. I would try to distance myself in every way possible but I wouldn't be rude.
If they were really rude or obnoxious I would be more apt to tell them. But I really don't like confrontation. I will confront when necessary but I'd rather not deal.
I guess if they were acting like I was their best friend it would depend on weither or not I really was their friend. If they were a true friend then no, I wouldn't say anything. True friendship is accepting them as they truley are on both ends, quirks and all.If it was someone phony and acting friendly then I could probably tell them directly. When I was younger I wouldn't have, but as one ages you don't sweat the small stuff as much. I guess wisdom really does comes with age, lol!
You wouldn't believe how a thing like this plays out in a factory setting... Due to the mundaness of the job... You look for things to do for excitement... If this person was acting like this everybody else would be saying.. So where's your friend??? And razzing you for it... In my case, what i've done in the past in a situation like this, is let them see that i talk and behave the same way with every co-worker no matter who they are... That way it hopefully shows them that we're not best friends.. Just co-workers!!!
This has kinda happened to me. I just kinda stopped hanging around them. I didn't stop talking with them or answering their calls. Just let some space develop between us.
