Hey all.  I hope you are all doing well.  I am hanging in there.  Things are better for now but we still haven't picked a counselor.  I really hope this helps and isn't the beginning of the end.

I will be able to be back more in a few days when the kids start back to school.  We bought one of those easy set pools and the kids and I have been spending every available minute in there.

My mini vacation was great.  I got to hang out with my cousins and catch up and remember old times.  It was really relaxing.  We all didn't want to leave when it came time to go back.  My son especially didn't want to go home.  He cried and held on to his Pappaw so he wouldn't have to leave.  He's fine now because he is looking forward to going back to school.

Have a great day all!!!!

Things are okay Dis.  I'm not terrible but I'm not great either... and saying so so or in the middle doesn't fit either.  Maybe just a step below so so... hahahahaha

My son is having difficulty adjusting to a regular classroom.  And his room is stuffed to capacity with kids and it's chaos in there.  I hope his teacher gets in a regular routine soon.

My daughter is loving middle school.  She had a bit of drama with the ex-boyfriend and the new boyfriend dumped her but she's bounced back and seems to be having a good time.  I hope it continues.

It's hard for some kids to get adjusted, I know both of my kids always have a hard time with change.Since it took me so long to see this(sorry) I have to ask how is your son doing now? Glad to hear your daughter is enjoying middle school, sometimes I think middleschool can be the hardest years for kids.

My son is really having a hard time adjusting.  I'm not sure how to help him.  I am keeping the lines of communication open with all his teachers and talking to him about things that he does that are not acceptable.  They tell me he's doing fine but I know he's not doing as well as he could be.  It's frustrating.

Sounds like you're on top of it Rid, I bet it will get better in time. Maybe he just needs a little more time to settle into the new routine. You are a great Mom.
