Maple Pecan Slice
Ingredients
Serves 8 
 Base
1/2 cup butter, melted 
1 cup flour 
1/4 cup Chelsea Brown Sugar 
 Topping
2/3 cup Chelsea Brown Sugar
1/4 cup butter 
1 cup Chelsea Maple flavoured Syrup 
2 eggs 
2/3 cup pecans 
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/4 teaspoon salt 
2 tablespoons flour 
 
Method
  
 Base
Mix ingredients above with fingertips and press into an 20cm x 20cm cake/slice tin. Bake 180oC, for 5 minutes. 
 Topping
Mix brown sugar, butter and Chelsea Maple flavoured Syrup. Simmer for 5 minutes. Cool to lukewarm. 
 Add beaten eggs, stirring constantly. Add other dry ingredients. Spread over base. Bake 200oC, 5 minutes. Then reduce to 180oC for 30 minutes or until firm. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream
