Slow Cooker Lentils and Sausage
  "A hearty slow cooker meal that is simple to make and
 satisfying to eat, especially on a cold day! Top each bowl 
with some grated Parmesan and serve with warm, crusty bread, 
if desired."  Original recipe yield: 12 servings. 
INGREDIENTS:
1 (16 ounce) package dry lentils 
1 (16 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained 
2 (14 ounce) cans beef broth 
3 cups water 
1 red kumara, chopped 
2 pounds kielbasa (Polish) sausage, cut into 1/2 inch pieces 
1 stalk celery, chopped 
DIRECTIONS:
Rinse and drain lentils, but do not soak. In a slow cooker, 
stir together the lentils, tomatoes, broth, water,red kumara, 
sausage, and celery. 
Cover, and cook on High for 3 hours, or Low for 6 to 7 hours. 
Stir well before serving.
