250g unfilled square sponge 2 cups icing sugar About 2 tablespoons hot water 1 tablespoon Hansells Black Food Colouring
Draw a 14cm long x 11cm wide jersey shape on a piece of cardboard. Cut out and use template to cut around cake. Sift icing sugar into a bowl. Add enough water to make a smooth icing. Reserve 2 tablespoons of white icing and place in a small plastic bag. Add Hansells Black Food colouring to remaining icing and stir to combine. Spread black icing over jersey. Snip off corner of plastic bag and use white icing to pipe a number on the jersey.
