he was certainly keeping an eye on me today .

the best birthday I have ever had .

lots of phone calls started early morn . until 6 pm when we went out to bbq at fellowship [just said grace and thats all .]  theme was for someones 60th birthday  and even my earlybird visitor was in on it . -she arrived early this morning at 9 am .left 12 pm. with her son .then in between calls  and cuppas . which I never got to drink .

was on the go all day no rest . my hairdresser gave me a free blowwave

and off I went to the bbq . my hair was colored different [yesterday's outing to the hairdresser] and even my dad said I looked like I did many years ago.-real compliment booster that was. - parents came in @ 3pm and we had a lovely threesome for afternoon T .

I cooked a tray of apple + nutmeg shortcake triangles  and covered them with blackberry jam and also meringues with cream on top . tomato sandwiches and lastly mini meat savories   and my first cup of T .  plus a slice of "Fruit birthday cake " <[  present too ] taking that too on saturday night @ restaurant for a family dinner .

$70-00 in money and tokens. brooch from my mum .  and lots of other stuff  then tonite ... lilac + violet earings and necklace ; ornaments- teddybear + dolphin + cookies ;box of chocolates ;picture of me and Cate ; church candle . and another birthday cake -banana - from the friend who was here this morning .

and of course lots of photos were taken and stacks of cards too  .

bbq was really good at this time of year - usually chilly and cold  but tonite was warmer than usual  and teens had a great time doing the limbo  and chicken dance . I got the beat but need heaps of practice .

now, I am going to do what a dear friend told me today when she turned 60 :

 I get up in the morning , wash my face . do my hair and say to myself " boy you are so darn gorgeous "!  and then go on with my day .

she told me that this morning and I roared with laughter ..

 

So hope I can get that mind thing instilled in me too .she's so  wise . we get on like a house on fire .  always knowing when the other is stressed /unhappy/unwell -although in different parts of the country and she is looking younger too  and more positive in her outlook on life.

Thanks for the prayers for my daughter - her eyesight is now 20/40 and 20/30 - far from the 20/20 she had in both

eyes - but so thankful to have eyesight at all - yes GOD is great and I'm so grateful he works in our lives :)

and a couple more to end of May .

my eyes are being looked at next tuesday too .

Eyesight is almost 20/20 in both eyes - Angie is now 40 years old and I doubt that anyone that age has 20/20 ! lol

Hi members ,Sox has been updating us on her daughter .Ain't God generous ! he's not only given back her daughter's eyesight but given back a mom and a grandma. -Linda to all their families .
