Hi there , I hope that you had a break with the children away on holidays . [N.Z. did for 2 weeks ]
Some of our church teens did a stint at a local Christian camp . and they are no worse for it . the kids there had a fun time too .
So what part of the world are you in and when do you have childrens' holidays [from school that is ]or is it a misery to have them home ?
give me your comments on what and how you got them entertained.
did you ever teach them cooking. ?
it's so easy .
The basic skills are good for them to use on [or with you ] for that special day or two or three .and hopefully on weekends too . reduces your workload  and easy for them later in life . well some children do not starve and there are others who do as they do not know how to cook -even the basic skills .

Seems one of our church members was an overstayer [not by design but circumstances  beyond his control ]so he turned himself in and when he got home to the Phillipines ,he found that God had been very busy in his own extended family . so now he has the position of outreaching into more of his family .
well done .
God moves in mysterious ways indeed .

My sons are in their 20's. When they were young they got the normal school holidays like Christmas, etc but thats it. I never sent them away, couldn't bear to do that. LOL!  I taught my sons how to cook from the time they were little. My older son is a good cook and can make anything he wants. He tends to make alot of Asian dishes lately.
