Good Morning Everyone.

Thought for the Day:
Contentment is hoping for the best and making the best of what we've got.

Help Yourself......pot is brewed.
Time & Temp in Toronto is...

Happy Mother's Day

Just got back from our "Walk".

We saw nothing...except one paper delivery guy!

How is everyone today?

I am dragging this morning....went to bed early enough.....but that "terrorist" that lives above.....was on the rampage last night......I phoned security about 10:20p.m. , after listening to him RUN for about 40 minutes. Went back to bed and fell asleep only to be waken up again at 11:30 by that little _ _stard still running around, bare-footed on a non-carpeted parkey floor, from one end of the apartment to the other. He doesn't just run and play he runs back & forth, back & forth....NON-stop!!!
I called security again about 12:45 a.m. and they said they had sent the guard to their door twice.......there was nothing else I could do BUT call the Police. Don't know about the rest of you BUT the Police in Toronto sure have more to do than discipline the poorly raised, lack of respect of peoples' rights.... children of others.

For sure....this is the last straw...we are going to have to get a Lawyer involved...
"The Tollerant Gloves Are Off".

I think I may of extracted 2 hours sleep out of the night last night.

This 60-plus year old body cannot deal with that.

Anyway...
Do you have special plans for today?

I don't..have 2 places to clean......and then come home, cook supper, play on here a bit and then bed!
Normal day!

Another post has come to an end.......of things to say.
Soooooooo

Have a great day.

Be safe.

Take care.

Prayers to those in need.

Crockpot "Q" Pork
This cooks for 10-12 hours so plan accordingly!
2 onions, quartered
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon paprika
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 4-6 pound boneless pork butt, shoulder roast or loin (which is leaner)
3/4 cup cider vinegar
4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne

Place onions in crockpot. Combine brown sugar, paprika, salt/pepper and rub over the roast.
Place roast on top of onions.

Combine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, red pepper flakes, sugar, mustard, garlic salt and cayenne; stir well to mix. Drizzle about 1/3 of the vinegar mixture over roast. Cover and refrigerate remaining vinegar mix.

Cover crockpot and cook of LOW 10-12 hours.
Abour 1 hour before it's done, add about 1/2 the remaining vinegar mixture to crockpot (you may want to warm it up first so you're not putting cold liquid in, which would slow down the cooking)

Continue cooking until meat is falling apart. Remove meat from crockpot and shred with fork. Return to crockpot to continue heating until you're ready to serve.
Serve on buns with coleslaw on top of the meat. Pass remaining vinegar sauce.
I usually make extra sauce while the pork is cooking.
This recipe is basically so easy! And typing it out has me hungry for "Q"!

Sweet Potato Casserole with Peaches and Cashews
6 medium sweet potatoes
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup coarsely chopped cashews
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ginger
1 can (15 1/4 ounces) sliced peaches, drained
3 Tbsp. butter

Place sweet potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover and cook for 30 to 45 minutes or just until tender. Drain and cool slightly. Peel and cut into cubes.

In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cashews, salt and ginger. Place half of the sweet potatoes in an ungreased 11 x 7 inch baking pan. Top with half of the peaches and brown sugar mixture. Repeat layers and dot with butter.

Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 minutes longer or until bubbly and heated through.

I hope you had a nice Mothers Day. I loved your Sweet Potato recipe and will be trying it out.  I surely hope you can resolve the problem with your upstairs neighbor.

Me too . CSW-Have you thought of turning off his heating .

not yours ,but just his !

He may go for a jog down the street  instead.

It's called retribution . or sweet revenge .well maybe not ,

we are supposed to be christlike after all .

and he didnt do anything like that .

As it says "revenge is mine ,saith the Lord "

maybe we should leave it up to him .

After all Miracles do Happen!

Love from Annie -Bless you with patience , hope & tolerance
and keep well .
