Help Yourself, okay?
Time & Temp in
Toronto is...
Well here we are....Sunday...the start of a fresh new week & it also is the start of a fresh new month!
How lucky can we get?....lol
I did not get to the second call yesterday,(really didn't expect to),...so this morning..that is where I am headed...hopefully for 7:00 a.m....If not that time,..then when I walk through that door!
I am also going back to the 6-hour place I worked yesterday...
3 weeks ago she asked me IF I would paint some iron lawn furniture for her...I said yes, & booked her for next Sat. the 7th....figured she would use Trem-Clad rust proof paint.
Yesterday she went & got the paint..not trem-cals and she doesn't want to use that either. The stuff that is on the furniyture is "rolling off under my finger pressure"!!!
Can't make this woman see the light..Oh well!...her money, her rules, right? She then asks me how much per hour I am going to charge her to do this? I ask what she thinks a fiar hourly rate would be? She say she doesn't know...then quickly adds...would $10 per hour be okay? I just about pee'd my drawers...that was after someone had "paddled me heart" to get it started again! When I started cleaning houses...my rate was $12.50 per hour, minimum time 4 hours= $50!....I should start going backwards now...?
I don't think so!!!!
I suggested that to her and said that I would not do it for $10 BUT I might consider $15..
She told me to think about it and let her know at the end of "my shift" yesterday.
When I was finished cleaning,... (which BTW...she held me up with her yappin' and I was 45 minutes later finishing than I should of been...see that $20 flying out the window for the extra hour?
..),..
I suggested to her she call around and see IF she could maybe get a "handyman" to do the painting. She asked me why I didn't want the work...& I told her that I was not at this stage of the game, gonna "go backwards" on the pay scale...especially to do fiddly work like that. I also said to ask her neighbour about how pleased they were with the painting I did at their place last summer...remember every Sunday I was painting that "hot-house thingy"?
What a 'cheap hen" she is...she just looked at me and said "If $20 is what ya want, then $20 is what I'll pay"!!!!!
I made 3 calls yesterday, when she went out and the cheapest rate I could find was $19 per house & the highest was $35 per hour!!!!
Personally,...I think she is getting a real bargin.
OH!...,did I say...the paint she wants me to use...well I have to prime the dang set...too...then put on a finish coat!
DITZ!
"Tremclad", sand, wash down, let dry & paint!
Finished!
Okay.......guess I have run on enough for today...
BTW......did anyon else other than Toronto get rain yesterday?
It drizzled on & off with burst-out patches of Sunshine, all day.I heard some say..we need the rain....
Whats' up where you are today?
Anything "special"?
Planning any trips for the Summer times upcoming season?
I think I have about run out of "words for this morning"!
Have a great day.
