hi everyone -soon it'll be August-
and not long to go till Christmas.
so if you are a crafter ,well, I suppose
you'll be busy with making things for Xmas now .
but ,if you are the traditional cook you'll be planning
on what to do for this years 2008 Christmas. .

well I am leaving it up to you to make a list what you'd like to have for recipes .
Now start adding >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.

Annie's thought for the day :

I thought about a recipe for a wonderful way to do :

A small  "Turkey - with  ginger & lime  marmalade ."

Turkey pre cooked with ginger & lime marinade dressing

and *creamed corn sauce . [big change from cranberrries. ]

*tin of creamed corn pureed and warmed.

*scalloped potatoes  in cheese sauce .
*[leftovers to go into pot of macaroni  with peas or beans ]

*mini  oval rolls  on the side

*butter beans - boiled .
*carrots whole -boiled
*chopped and preserved beetroot.

*warm salad of beet leaves, parsley and rocket, lime juice and olive oil .

next is the dessert .

I'll have to think about that one .  ANNIE

Reindeer Cookies

This recipe is rated Easy to do

These darling little sugar cookies, decorated to look like reindeers,

are simply delightful for the holidays.

Kids love shaping them and adding pretzels for antlers and

bright red M&Ms noses to guide Santa's way.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 3 cups flour (scant)
  • pretzel pieces
  • red and green M&Ms candies
  • mixer
  • large bowl
  • measuring spoons
  • measuring cups

Cooking Instructions

Cream the butter and sugars, eggs and peanut butter, salt and vanilla.

Add the baking soda and flour and mix well.

Roll into balls.

Flatten the balls and shape it into a triangles.

Place pretzel pieces into 2 of the triangle corners for antlers.

Place a red M&Ms candy at the other corner (Rudolph's red nose),

and 2 green M&Ms candies on the cookie for eyes.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown (my oven usually takes around 11 minutes).

These cookies are fun to make, and kids really love them.

Parental supervision is recommended.
