6lb. Ripe Strawberries . 4lb Sugar
Stem fruit & put in pan with sugar.
Mix without bruising fruit and leave for 12hrs.
Strain syrup and simmer for about 20 mins skimming well.Add fruit and boil again slowly for 25mins.,until test shows it will set. When jam is ready for bottling have jars very dry or jam will mildew,and protect the surface with inners under the outer cover...
