Walnut & Fig Jam:
12 lb. Figs; 9lb. Sugar; 1lb. Preserved Ginger ; 1lb. Walnuts; 1 Quart Water [2pints] 1.2litres;.
Cut up figs ,cover 1/2 with sugar and let stand
for 48 hrs.Then boil water and remaining sugar.
While boiling ,add figs and boil for 1 hr.
Then add walnuts & ginger cut to size required of own choice.
