Bacon Burgers �?BR> 1 medium yellow onion, grated 1 cup mashed potato flakes 2 eggs, lightly beaten 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper 2 pounds ground beef[minced beef ] 8 bacon strips 8 hamburger buns 8 lettuce leaves Condiments In a large bowl, combine first 6 ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix. Divide seasoned hamburger into 8 flattened patties. To retain shape, press a large shallow dent into the center of each patty. Wrap a bacon strip around each. Secure with toothpicks. In a large skillet, cook burgers until well done. Remove toothpicks. Serve on toasted buns with lettuce and condiments of your choice. Yield: 8 servings. |
