Hawaiian Spareribs 2 sides of spareribs, cut into serving pieces 2 tbsp. brown sugar 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. vinegar 1/2 c. catsup 1 (9 oz.) can crushed pineapple w/juice 1 tbsp. soy sauce In saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch & salt. Stir in vinegar, catsup, pineapple & soy sauce. Cook till slightly thickened, about 5 mins., stirring constantly. Arrange a layer of ribs in roasting pan. Cover w/part of pineapple mixture. Add another layer of ribs & top w/remaining sauce. Cover tightly (w/top or aluminum foil). Bake at 350 F. for 1 1/2 hrs. This recipe can be multiplied to fit the number of guests. 4 servings. |
