Canadian Roll:

  22 crushed Malt biscuits[1 pkt.]
  Marshmallows[1 pkt-each cut into half]
  6-7 Cherries cut into half.
  1/4 cup chopped Nuts
  mix with 1/2 tin Condensed tin Milk.
  Vanilla
Mix thoroughly with hands,Divide in two    
Roll each piece in coconut.
Put in fridge 24  hrs.before using.
Slice into Pieces.

Canadian Date Cake:
 1/4 lb. Butter
 3/4 cup Sugar
 2 Eggs
 1 1/2 cups Flour
 1 tbsp Syrup
 1 tbsp. Cocoa
 1 tsp. Baking Powder
 1 tsp.Soda
 3/4 cup Boiling Water.
 1 cup Stoned Dates
 1/2 cup Walnuts.
 Dissolve soda in boiling water and pour over dates.
 Beat butter and sugar, add beaten eggs.syrup.date mixture,
flour, cocoa, baking powder and lastly walnuts.mix well
and pour into cake tin .
Bake 3/4 hr. @ 380o degrees.

 Canadian Date Sandwich:
 4oz Butter.
 2oz Sugar
 6 oz Flour
 2 Eggs
 3 oz. Nuts
 1 level tsp.Soda
 3/4 cup Dates
 3/4 cup Cold Water
 1 tbsp. Golden Syrup
 2 level dstps.Cocoa.
 Soak dates in soda and water for an hour    
Cream butter and sugar.Add golden syrup and 
the date mixture,then the nuts.
Fold in dry ingredients. Before baking-  sprinkle nuts on  
top of one as a decoration.
 Bake @ 400  degrees in two 8"tins for 25-35  mins.
Leave in tins till cool. Put together with a little chocolate icing.

Canadian Orange Cake:
 4oz Butter
 1 cup Sugar
 2 well Beaten Eggs.
 1 tsp.Vanilla Essence
 1 tsp Soda dissolved in 3/4cup Warm Water.
      Beat Well ,and Then Add:
 1 whole Orange,Skins and all.
 1 cup Raisins
 1/2 cup Walnuts
     Put All Through Mincer 
Add to 1st mix. Beat well again.
Put in slow oven @ 350oF for approx.40-50 mins.   
Ice with Orange Icing.

Ham and Cheese Wrap 'n Roll 
 Prep: 5 min 
 Ready In: 5 min 
 Serves: 2 
 2 thin slices (60 g) Black Forest ham
2 slices KRAFT Fat Free Singles Process Cheese. 
COVER each of the ham slices with 1 Singles.
ROLL up tightly.
SERVE immediately. Or wrap individually in plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Rumbly-Tummy Buster Mix  
Prep: 10 min 
    Ready In: 10 min 
    Serves: 8 
 3 Tbsp. butter
3 cups POST THE ORIGINAL SHREDDED WHEAT
      SPOON SIZE Cereal
  1/2 cup slivered almonds
  1/2 cup raisins
  1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
MICROWAVE butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 30 sec. or until melted.
ADD cereal, almonds and raisins; toss to evenly coat with butter. Microwave 1 min. Add sugar and cinnamon; mix lightly. Microwave an additional minute.
COOL completely. Store in airtight container at room temperature.
Substitute sunflower kernels or your favourite nuts for the almonds.

Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup
Servings: 4.
Ingredients and Directions
4 c Chicken broth
5 tb Butter
4 tb Flour
2 Carrots, peeled and diced
4 Green onions, diced
6 oz Grated cheddar cheese
2 Sprigs parsley, chopped
2 - 3 oz ham, diced
Tabasco sauce
Bacon bits
Salt & pepper to taste

Heat chicken stock. Melt 3 Tbsp butter;
saute carrots and onions until tender.
Add to broth. Make white roux with 2 Tbsp butter
and 4 Tbsp flour. Add to stock.
Add cheddar cheese, parsley, ham and
1 drop tabasco sauce. Season to taste.
Heat until cheese is melted.
Top with bacon bits when served.
Makes 4   8-ounce servings.

Leftover Potato Cakes

Metric Ingredient Imperial
1 L leftover mashed potatoes 4 cup
1 egg, lightly beaten 1
2 ml cream of tartar 1/2 tsp
50 ml flour 1/4 cup
15 ml olive oil 1 tbsp
125 ml cottage cheese 1/2 cup

In a medium bowl; mix potatoes, egg and cream of tartar.

Add salt and pepper to taste and mix thoroughly.

Form mixture into patties. Dredge in flour to coat, shaking off excess.

In nonstick skillet; heat oil over medium high heat. Cook potato cakes  4 to 5 minutes per side until crispy and brown. Serve with dollap of cottage cheese.

Serves 4
