I have a problem that I am having not to much fun deciding on what to do. I have the opportunity to go back to university and get my business degree, but that means walking away from a good paying job, not to mention that I love it, to do so! On the other side of the coin, if I go back I will finally get to be with the girl of my dreams as we are apart now because she is away at school and I am here.

I ask anyone with advise to message me and let me know their thoughts please.

Thanks,

Anson

Our Dear Abby is in the middle of a move and will get back to us as soon as she can, and is connected to the internet in her new place.  Stay tuned.

Hello Anson, I'm sorry it's taken me a few days to respond to you, I'm in the process of moving into a new place, thanks Lynn for letting him know, you're right, I'd been without the internet for a few days lol.

Well from personal experience I know what a blessing it is to be given the opportunity to go back to school, everything they always told us about the longer you wait the harder it is to go back, well it's true, especially when you're already established in a job, particularly one you like so well.
Times like this it's important to ask yourself what your future goals are and what will you need to do in order to achieve them? I know you like your current job but do you feel continuing on there will get you where you want to be, not only in a professional sense but in a personal one too? Getting your business degree and furthering your education will open new doors for you that you're not even aware of now, not to mention being able to be near the girl of your dreams??
If you had to give up either this current job or the girl of your dreams, which one would you sacrifice in the end?
I'd say the powers that be are definitely providing you with a valuable opportunity to not only further your education but also to be near the girl you love. Often we find ourselves led in new directions that we never thought we'd find ourselves but it we just let go and trust and allow ourselves to be led we're often surprised and pleased at where we end up.
No matter how good a job may be, you can't cuddle up to it at night.
If I were in your shoes I'd jump at the chance being given to you, it's an opportunity to further your education and to be with the one you love. I feel that we subconsciously send out messages and signals of what we truly want in life, what we want and need and if we want them badly enough and have faith, sooner or later the opportunity will appear to us, which is what I think is happening to you here. The universe knows the desires of our hearts but we must be able to recognize the opportunities when they're presented to us, we have a choice in whether to persue them or reject them but the same opportunity might not always exist.
It kind of reminds me of the story of the drowning man in the middle of the flood and he's having trouble staying afloat and he shouts up to God to help him and soon a helicopter flies by and lowers a rope down to him and the man says No, its ok, God will rescue me, and shortly after that a boat comes by offering to pull him aboard, still the man refuses help, saying I'm fine, God will save me, and the man drowns. When he gets to heaven he asks God why He didn't answer his cries for help and God responds, I sent you a helicopter and a boat to rescue you but you refused, what more did you need from me?
If you recognize your inner desires to be going back to school and to be with this girl, take this opprtunity as your life boat and hop aboard!
Best of luck, let us know how things go!
Robyn (Dear Abby lol)

I would first like to thank you for taking the time to respond. I have made the decision to go back to school, as long as I am accepted to one of schools I have applied to.

I'll keep you up to date as things progress.

Anson
