Weather peaple tell me that due to global conditions, Buenos Aires is now some 1200 kmts north in temperature conditions.

We used to be had a temperate climate, now we are sub-tropical.

Lots of rain, then bright sunshine , then rain again.........

rain, rain, go away.............

Interesting subject to get started. I live in Canada and have noticed a switch in the weather trends over the last few years. Our winters are less vicious although cold now LOL but overall the trend seems more mild and springlike longer.

I do my bit to protect the environment in every way I can. I am looking forward to wamer climates. Hope it happens in my life time LOL

Saturday 10th March

Hi everyone,

Good subject, Global Warming. The winters in UK are getting noticeable warmer and wetter. I can remember when March was a month to fear for the fierce winds and blasting cold that cut through to the bones. True we now have better clothing in terms of warmth and lightness but all the same there is a difference.

I try and do my bit by changing the light bulbs to energy efficient ones, I turn off the appliances when not in use instead of leaving them on standby and even switch off the lights when I leave a room. I also turn down the heating a notch or two, but all the same I feel this is hardly enough to make a difference now that it almost too late. I suppose if we all do our little bit or whatever we can it will at least slow down the process.

The astonishing thing is that people still believe that it is not happening. They shut their eyes to the signs and with head buried deeply in the sand think it will right itself if anything at all is amiss.

OK, this enough on my soap box.

Jane, lots of luck in your continuation and growth. Hi new members, I am Victoria and live in the UK. Welcome to the group, it is a place to share thoughts, furstrations and joys - sometimes even a joke or two!
