Yesterday and for the first time since 1918, we had snow in Buenos Aires.

Being a pilot, I think that snow is a pain in the neck, but people were very happy.

Hi Southernpilot

I don't see much snow like I used to see as a kid. I remember walking to snow, and even when older, driving in snow. Now we may get 1 or 2 days a year when it snows.

There's some crazy weather around this year. We have had rain, rain and more rain for weeks now in England.

SNOW in Buenos Aires...WOW  !!! That WOULD be exciting for the first-timers. Like you said Kev, snow isn't like it used to be ..back before we messed up the climate with all our innovative progress. I vividly recall snow being so deep we were unable to open the doors to leave the house...and we LOVED it !! Schools and workplaces being closed down for days was the norm between December and March, give or take a month either way. We were FORCED to slow down...and boy could we ever use some of that natural "therapy" these days don't you think? . To me a fresh snowfall is one of natures most beautiful phenomena...up there with tropical sunsets, starlit skies, waterfalls, a small lake at the crack of dawn, rainbows... we all have our favourites. I can't help but smile when I envision people, all like children,  seeing, touching and even tasting it for the first time...how wonderful
