My first poem, written last year. This poem refers to my sign of Pisces.

Fish of the Sea
Compassionate, spiritual mediators are we
two entwined fish of the sea
Our deep, mystical soulful eyes
sometimes sad, always wise
Disarming and charming, elusive and yet
the most loyal of friends; on that you can bet
Can attract and disarm with just one look
spend time with us and you'll be hooked
Dreamers, not schemers our gentleness speaks
though when hurt we can swim far away for weeks
We slip through your fingers when squeezed too tight
or use our defences and put up a fight
Both guppy and shark, on that you can bank
turning enemies to bones at the bottom of our tank
Lovers of peace, opponents of hate
happiest of all when allowed to create
Cards on the table, no need to deceive
We are who we are, our phrase, "I Believe"
For as the moon affects the changing sea
we continually evolve, yet must always be free
SheCat
