I have been in there and it is not going to work for an Awards group at all. There is no way to make pages. It is more like a blog and sharing things. It is a very sad thing. But after Feb. if MSN does not come up with something better than that. I will be closing this one down. In the mean time, if you would like an award. Just asked. I will not even judge your groups now. What is the use?
Have a great day
Blessings
Lindagal

Like you Linda, I have no idea for my group. Because I run a senior citzen group, change is very hard. Most of them didn't know how to do anything, but post a message. We had to show them how to get around. The change will be hard for them, and we can't very well teach them, when we don't know ourself!! This is so sad.   Grannie

Linda,

Summer and me went to her paid for server that she uses for her Music Ministry business. She just uses the same pages she builds here right on that site and she then just uses the blog that is activated right with it when she is using the webhosting site.

She has been paying for two sites for several years and the one we are going to she was using mainly as a promo for the group here, its not very expensive at all and she has alot of storage space and she does all her uploads with a ftp connection so its real fast.

We got our message board set up in two days now just got to move our stuff over. Please dont close down, we love you so much!

Hugz, Normalee

Try Google groups, they have html, backgrounds, scrapebooking, just like msn but better I feel.I will give you 2 links to two groups that have moved there, mine and my friends whose group is a promotion group called Promotion Listings Directory. I feel it would be great for awards and things Linda,PLD shows you how to set up your group right from scratch and you can c&p pages from here to there,I did, have a look and see what you think, here is my group and here is link to PLD for you Linda http://groups.google.com/group/promotion-listings-directory  much love Marie

Linda
Please take a look at Freewebs.com  before you do anything like buy a group site.
I have been working to see if they will work and so far I am liking the set up. I have been able to make the same pages I have at MSN for putting the info in.Also they have photo albums and links pages and more. Take a look and see what you think. If you want you can look at my sample site. I am not done with anything final just seeing what and how all things work.
I am not closing my MSN group till Feb. I am so afraid this mess is scaring people off.

You are welcome to take a look.
Lisa

Hi Linda
Yuku is great, I have created a group there

It is very similar to MSN, and you can add Borders too, and their support is great, at first it looks confusing but it is not that hard, for a start they have great templates then you can customize your group as you wish

Hugs
Verna
