In the OT, the word "hour" (
shaah) means brief time, moment.
A moment of time, the twinkling of an eye, a split second.
In the NT, Greek,
(hora) means a certain definite time or season fixed by natural law and returning with the revolving year
of the seasons of the year, spring, summer, autumn, winter
the daytime (bounded by the rising and setting of the sun), a day
a twelfth part of the day-time, an hour, (the twelve hours of the day are reckoned from the rising to the setting of the sun)
any definite time, point of time, moment
If we take all of those meanings into consideration and remember that there is actually no TIME in the spiritual realm, we will understand that an hour or half hour merely represents a split second or half a split second, the twinkling of an eye to God and at the same "time" it can be a lifetime to an earthly carnal minded human being. Such are the mysteries of God. He can make a split second and lifetime become one and the same.
The word of God uses physical things to represent spiritual Truth so that those who are carnally minded cannot see or understand the mysteries of God, even when we try to explain them to them. God hides His mysteries from carnally minded people and only reveals them to His children.
