Well as a radical minarchist libertarian, I am NOT against an indirect (Constituional) tax. I am against socialist taxes like welfare taxes, Social Security taxes and other taxes not related to government.(only) As well as an income tax.

People will say "oh you hate old people and poor people..." I am NOT against a trust fund through donations or Social Security as long as it isn't through direct taxes.

Our taxes should ONLY be used to support those powers delegated in the Constitution and individual state Constitutions.

If we got rid of many unconstitutional things such as the FRS, IRS, income tax, social security tax and welfare taxes, we would be much more prosperous like our founders told us. Everything our founders told us to do, we haven't. Everything they told us not to do, we have done.

Were our founders perfect? No, they even said they weren't. However, their philosophy is something that leads us to a great nation.

Not only is the federal income tax unconstitutional, but so is the FRS, the IRS, the trilateral commissions , operation garden plot, the new security and the Council on Foreign Relations.

That's why I am a libertarian....small government, restricted government and limited government is what the Constitution was made for. The smaller the government ,the better.

That's right Billy.  It's the new world order.  The pretext of the new world order began when we left the U.S. Constitution.

In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution."-Thomas Jefferson.

How is a small government supposed to exercise its order to "bind down" if those who practice "mischief" out-number it?

Again, I'm of the humble opinion that libertarianism is only effective when the people being governed are of high moral fiber. Larger government is the response of good people to abusers of mankind.

This is what I'd like to see: greater states' rights and smaller federal agencies. That way the country might be better able to see which states have the blessings of God upon them for what they condone or don't condone in human behavior. Not that it will make the overall laodocean system any better - it's doomed to fail anyway because of the general tendency toward apathy - but at least the godly would be more encouraged to hold the line against sin. I fear that the muzzling of our churches is pushing us in the opposite direction, however.

But that's just my muddled head thinking out loud. I don't have much knowledge of how these things work in government - well, I may have learned a thing or two in college, but I've already forgotten most of it. Like most people, I'm only involved in the things that directly concern me...which is why democracies (even though ours started as a "republic") have categorically only lasted 200 years or so.

This was a pretty good article that you might find interesting, CA:

I have been saying forever that direct democracy fails.  That's why a a republic works.  I skimmed over the article, it proves my point.

I would like to see greater states rights and no federal agencies.
