So one world religion will be catholic? Alot of folks believe the one world church will be the Catholics, and those that follow her teachings of the trinity, and title baptism. |

No. It will only be Catholic in the sense that catholic means iniversal. It will be Gods universal church, the body of Christ. The Church his favoured bride will consist of believers who follow the Lord from any and every denomination including those catholics who are saved ( and there are some) There may be some who have believed, but no longer go to church. That is my view on this. The universal church consists of all belitvers everywhere, Bob Wood. |

Jerusalem is said to sit on seven hills but fact is one has to really stretch it to make that work. Here is how they do so.
"Those "seven hills" are easy to identify. If one starts with the Mount of Olives just to the east of the main City of Jerusalem (but still reckoned to be located within the environs of Jerusalem), there are three summits to that Mount of Olives. The northern summit (hill) is called Scopus [Hill One], the middle summit (hill) was called Nob [Hill Two], the highest point of Olivet itself, and the southern summit (hill) was called in the Holy Scriptures the "Mount of Corruption" or "Mount of Offence" [Hill Three] (II Kings 23:13). On the middle ridge between the Kedron and the Tyropoeon Valleys there was (formerly) in the south "Mount Zion" [Hill Four] (the original "Mount Zion" and not the later southwest hill that was later called by that name), then the "Ophel Mount" [Hill Five] and then to the north of that the "Rock" around which "Fort Antonia" was built [Hill Six]. And finally, there was the southwest hill itself [Hill Seven] that finally became known in the time of Simon the Hasmonean as the new "Mount Zion." This makes "Seven Hills" in all."
This is what many accept. The only problem I would have is it leaves out Mt. Moria h, which itself it the Temple Mount and the place where Abraham is said to have gone to offer up Issac.
I have been to Israel roughly 40 times and of those to Jerusalem no less than 30. I could not envision the seven hills although I suppose I could have missed them in that scholars really have to stretch things to make it fit by dividing certain hills.
Sometimes a new thing can spark thoughts. I am sure we all agree that on the Earth there are seven continents which of course would rise as hills above the sea.
I lean towards Rome myself as fitting the description but I also recognize Revelation is highly symbolic in nature.
Suffice it to say, as in all cases much can be answered and better understood when paying close attention to the opening statements of any letter.
Q: Who was Revelation specifically addressed to and what was their immediate condition? We must deal with the "shortly come to pass" aspect of the opening as well as history related to that time.
Personally I think (and only that, it is an opinion), that revelation is a book of hope for the christian concerning the sure persecutions just ahead of the church at that time. Approaching it from that perspective leads to some interesting thought.
I am not all that concerned about it one way or the other for nothing in it is related to the message I am to carry to the lost. It is an ultimate victory story for those of us who are in Christ yes, but this is something I already am assured of.
