The one nobody wants to wear...the martyr's crown.

You'll find that in the word for "crown" used in Revelations 6:2, which was given to the rider of the white horse. A rather powerful testimony against those who suggest that this rider would be a false Christ. You'll never find the devil submitting to martyrdom!

Pooh...do you see the scipture?

1 Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker also of the glory that is to be revealed,

 2 shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness;

 3 nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock.

 4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.

Yes,I do see the scripture.I'll be honest.I still have trouble understanding.Does this mean that for us to recieve the crown of glory that we have to be in a leader roll,such as a preacher?I've always thought of the sheperd as a preacher.I study my bible but sometimes I have trouble getting the meaning.

We need not worry too much about crowns ot ither heavenly rewards, hust trust and daily seek to follow Him!
"There's going to be a such meeting in the air
In the great sweet bye and nye!
I'm going to meet Him, to meet Him iver there
In my home beyond the sky!
Such singing you will hear, never heard by mortal ear,
'Twill be glorious I do declare!
And God's own son will be the leading one at that meetingin the air!"
old chorus, posted by Bob Wood.
Lets forget about ourselves (and our rewards), and concentrate on Him and worship Him!

hey Bob...I told Jesus I want all the crowns he has for me....meeting Him as you explain is reward enough but in this race I keep my eyes on His promises...I would be devastated, (if you can be up there) If He said this could've been yours...
